i just bought a 95 eclipse gst.it is mostly stock beside the fmic, fuel pump, and 2500lb clutch.im about to put a ported 16g evo turbo on and a safc...it has a holley fuel pump on it which i thing is a 255(not really sure tho)..and i was just wondering what other minor things i should do to it to get the most boost out of it..also what would be a good bov.i was thinking the hks ssqv but i dont really like dealing with the c clip.anybody have some advice???

You can't go wrong with a 1g crushed bov. Don't waste the money on an HKS bov.

I just swaped my HKS for a greddy type-s and love it. also with my 16G setup I had evo8 560cc injectors, maybe get a intake, boost controller, catback if you dont already have it. I also recommend dsmlink if you have the extra money, that would be a good start, just make sure maintainece is already taken care of :thumb:

Dont crush it. Do the dodge mod. Crushing is old school, dodge mod will holddamn near any amount of boost you throw at it. I would link it for ya, but I'm on my iPhone at work! LOL:thumb:

+1 But get the 1g BOV if you have the 2g plastic ones

I have read that the "dodge mod" is for HIGH boost applications. Because by causing the bypass valve to hold more boost, it is keeping the valve from opening at lower boost levels. Causing compressor surge. Is this true? and if so please provide some evidence, because this logically makes more sense.

I personally would got with a 1g bov for now (uncrushed), then upgrade to a greddy type s (or equivalent). Since you can easily get a Greddy BOV to mount onto a 1g flange.
