14b install wont boost

Hey guys, just installed my 14b today, only took 3 hours.....add an hour or more for the pit stops to the napa auto parts and his house for misc. bolts.....anyways. The install was fine and easy and everything seemed to run fine untill i stepped on it, while im driving it spools REALLY REALLY SLOW. In 1st gear it wont hit "full boost." Which is set to stock ( from turbo to actuator) so about 9 psi...it wont even hit till late 2nd gear. Im wondering if its ### of back pressure? Would that make that much of a difference ### i have a stock exhaust still? Any ideas at all would be great..... and no i dont have any boost leaks.

check if the wastegate is stuck (the flaper)

A Big Exhaust Leak will also do this...

Head to mani. Mani to turbo.

Did you check your exhaust housing if there were cracks on it?? also check for boost leaks.

Most likely you either have an exhaust manifold leak or your wastegate is not shut all the way. If you need to, put washers under the wastegate actuator where it bolts on -- it should pull slightly on the wastegate flapper.

i resently had this same problem on my 14b....the pin holding the actuator to the flapper came out....it scared me 2 death trying to find out y i had no boost, but quicky realized this was my problem

It still boost a little but hardly and not as responsize as my t25 ( even tho i no the 14b is bigger and should spool a little slower.... but ill check the flapper and i have heard another idea about the intake pipe and lastly ill retighten all the bolts on mani and downpipe area.... thanks

I checked everything over AGAIN, found a couple leaks and hand checked all couplers, retightened them all. I was wondering about my sidemount....could it be leaking? I hear the air running thru but its kind of loud and its NOT coming out of the couplers that attach, FYI. The actuator is kinda smashed in, this might be the reason but not sure, as far as the rest goes, the cable isnt loose and it IS attached.
