The security system in my car has been acting up recently. Now the car is getting no spark. Is there any way the anti theft system can disable the car from starting?

That happened to me when I bought my gsx. The guy had the wrong sized battery in it and it was rubbing my hood. (the positive terminal started to burn my paint) It would make my alarm go crazy and randomly go off. It also blew my alarm fuse a time or two.
