I changed the o2 sensor in my car the other day and when I got back from the test drive, my cd would not eject out of the deck. Has this ever happened to any of you guys? How did you get it out? One thing worth mentioning, is that while trying to get at my front o2, I accidentally forgot to unhook the neg on the battery. And I touched the wrench from the exhaust to the terminal on the alternator. :(. I don't know if that would have even remotely done anything to the cd deck, but thats the only thing that happened that affected the electrical system.

I did the same thing. It affected my windows though rather then my radio. It burnt a wire going to the windows. It might be the case for you also.

you think i fried my deck to the point where I need to get a new one?

The radio works... well it would if I had an antenna. But the cd plays and everything, it just won't respond when I press eject.

I hope it's just jammed or something.

tried unhooking the neg battery cable, and it still doesn't work.

same thing happned to me. i went on vacation for a couple weeks and when i came back the cd ejected.

Did it eject by itself like at complete random, or did you just happen to hit eject and it came out?

try unplugging it and then plug it back in. Works most of the time if there isnt some other problem
My oem tape deck would stop working from time to time. It would just play dead. Unplugging the unit from the harness, waiting 5 seconds, and the plugging it back in, worked every time. That's different than disconnecting the battery for sme reason I don't understand. You didn't say weather or not it was the mitsubishi deck or an aftermarket. I've had 2 different JVC decks that didn't want to spit out the disc occasionally. One of them I needed tweezers to slide it out through the front, the other one usually responded to the "going on vacation and then coming back" method. You might try popping off the top cover and seeing if you can help the disc out.

:sneaky:first thing ,what is the brand of stero , usually they have a reset button on the face or if it has a flip down face it should be right behind it . a tooth pick usually works good . taking the battery post of usually doesn,t work , only if you take the plug out of the back. let me know and I will help you out , because I fix these things for past time . and for the guy with the stero with no harness let me know the model and brand ,I probally have a harness you could have .

My friend has a chevy 1500 HD with the stock deck and his CD got stuck too. Now when it wont eject, he takes another cd and places it into the slot, and kind of presses it towards the bottom. For some reason that makes it eject. Maybe try that?

OR do what I would do, junk it, buy a new one since your already in need.
