so from what i know..witch is not much.. people tell me i sould find a 4 bolt rear end off a 2g because it has a LSD and its a 4 bolt unlike the 1g? is the right? im only 17 go easy ROFL

You don't even have mods done yet, you have no reason to worry about your rearend going out. No not all 2g's are LSD. Mine is not. My 91 and late-92 cars both are LSD though.

Look at your rearend, it will have a sticker that says LSD if it has it, even if it doesn't there is no reason to worry about that when you're stock or mildly modded. LSD cars also have an orange sticker in the drivers doorjam.

I bought my 91 TSI with a welded rear end, and its the stupidist piece of crap ever. I haven't checked it yet, but if it was supposed to be an LSD, ill be even more pissed. Speaking of which, is there a way to un-weld a rear end like with a die-grinder or something, or would the gears then be too brittle because of the high heat welding it causes? So ya...

A 2g(95-99) 4bolt diff will not work on 1g due to different mounting points. $bolt 1g rears are found on 92-94 1gb awd dsms. Also automatic and manual diffs are not interchangeable due to different gear ratios. They are simple to notice because the axle uses 4 mounting bolts to the wheel hub.
4 bolt rear install
If your car is mostly stock, you really dont need this yet
