I have tried to access the main link that people keep on posting for ABS Removal and it doesn't work.

Can anyone give me some pointers in what to do to remove the ABS unit and make it so that brakes can work without the unit.

Thanks,
Jamie

Do you want to remove the whole unit or just make it not activate? If you just don't want it to work, there should be a fuse for it in the engine bay. Pull it and you're done.

When i took it off my evo 4,had to change diverter valve from 4 port to 6 port ,pipes from master cyl to diverter valve and pipes from the valve to the front calipers, reason for this was originally with abs the pipes went from master cyl to abs unit ,then to the front calipers .Im not saying yours is exactly the same but if you can find a crashed non abs model take the pipes off that.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so this one seemed like a good one to add to with my question since it is similar in nature:

I just did a 6 bolt swap and busted my ABS sensors taking the suspension out. If I leave them disconnected and pull the fuse, will my brakes work correctly sans ABS? I don't mind that the abs doesn't work, I just want to make sure I can stop the car. Thanks!

Brakes will still work. I ran without ABS fuse in place and stops fine. My theory in its operation is that the ABS valve remains closed under normal operation. When the ABS sensor senses the tires skidding, it opens the valve and bleeds the brake pressure.

YUP if the ABS does not pass self test, then it defaults to non-ABS. Easiest way to disable it is pull the bulb, the first thing the computer checks is the bulb, if is not there - no ABS.
