im getting a 6 bolt motor out of a 1st gen eclipse turbo automatic.

its going to go in my 97 gsx

i did on swap before in a 99 gsx.

i wanted to know what i can do to get more power at a cheaper leave haha.

i don't have money to spend on eagle parts soo with some 1st gen rods i can get some power cheap.

just which pistons should i use i know the 1st gen pistons are to low comp used them in my last swap and i didn't like it. it was sluggish till the turbo kicked in thank and i need some
advice on what to do :thumb:

Use 2g pistons i believe they are 8:5:1 compression where stocker 1gs are 7:8:1. That will bump your comp up for cheap.

what are evo pistons can i use them

standard bore evo VIII pistons (03-05) are 8.7:1, they are cast pistons. They can be used on 1g big rod's with some slight machining. They can be picked up cheap on the evolutionM forums. Also the EVO VIII cams work with some coaxing...
