Can someone tell me when the TCC is supposed to lock up in a 98 Eclipse, 420A 4 speed auto? I think it is kicking in sometimes but not always. I know most cars engage around 45 mph , light throttle when the car is warmed up. I tested it by going about 60 mph and tapping on the brakes while I was steady on the gas and the tach didn't move. In all the auto cars I've had thats the way I checked it but this car is different.

Like when your doing maybe 70 or so and you let off, the trans kinda holds the car back, but then when you tap the brakes it releases and your rpms drop to almost neutral.... ya its not doing that.

I've looked at All-Data at my school and I couldn't find anything on it.

Thanks in advance!!
