2G Boost Leak test, hearing leak inside the motor??

OK I am trying to do a boost leak test. Once I pressurize I hear air escaping inside of the motor. I did set the crank to 30* (heck I tried it all the way around on the crank) and still hear is leaking. I was putting my ear up to the Oil filler hole on the valve cover. I also checked the exhaust but did not hear the air at the tip.

Any thoughts as to where the air might be coming from?

I'm pretty new here but have you tried soap and water, I read about a lot of people that do that in these forums.

Now what does the boost leak test actually confirm? Just that rings and seals are in good condition? Would a boost leak make sure that the turbo is not boosting at startup?
