Can you use this as a fuel pump rewire?

When I saw the how the FP kit worked, I thought it was a great idea. I went to the junkyard and got an extra pin from a fuse box. When you cut the pin out of the harness give yourself enough slack in the wire so you can easily solder another wire to it. Solder your wire to the wire/pin (make sure it is long enough to reach the fuel pump). There are 2 empty slots on a 2G fusebox (may vary depending on options such as ABS, Cruise Control, etc). Flip your fuse box over and take off the bottom cover and push the new pin into an empty slot. It will snap and lock into place (you should know how to do this from taking the pin out of the junkyard or see FP's website). Now you have a very clean looking install since the fuse is inside the fuse box and not on an inline fuse holder inside the engine bay.

I have a spare lower engine wiring harness and main underhood fusebox sitting here. Shouldn't you be able to pull and use the original fusebox feed location instead of using a new fuse location?

Not quite sure what you are trying to say. We are simply switching from using an inline fuse holder to an using empty location in the fuse box. Everything else is the same as jakegaisser's article.
