So I had an oil leak... pretty bad, covered the bay. Fixed it up and cleaned up as much as I could, but there still seems to be a good amount that soaked into the exhaust manifold. I was letting the car idle to burn it off, but my friend told me that is bad for the car. When I questioned why he didn't really have an answer, so I figure I would just ask here.
Sorry the question is kinda dumb (why I posted in the newbie section), but I want to be safe instead of sorry. :coy:
 
It will have a harmful effect on your o2 sensor. If it is a lot, clean it out. If it is just a little left, it should be fine to burn off. Just, don't be surprised if your o2 cycles go weird and your fuel trims go out of wack for a bit.
