Ok guys i found a 92 laser awd that needs a starter, i had a 94 eclipse and had the starter out many times it was fwd n/t though, its a peice of cake now. This guy is telling me that on awd cars the starter is alot harder to get to and replace. is this true?

Ok, disconnect the battery and remove it along with the box then the intake hose between the bov and thottle body. Then the two bolts as 95burgundyesi stated plus the battery wires on the starter itself; it should come out nice and easy.

hey bud. before you buy a starter look under the dash at the clutch lever to see if the lil plastic peace is still in the clutch arm . i spent a 119$ for a starter then realized it was the clutch safety switch. its a good trouble shooting thing to look at.:talon:
