i have a 95 eclipse rs it has about 130k on it and im wondering if i could run the 6-7psi on it wit out killin it or hurting it badly or should i just spent the money i was going to use to boost it to rebuild it
 
I think those questions are best answered by several tests, the first of which I would advise is a compression check to see how healthy the bottom end is.

The true answer to your question depends on how much wear your block truly has been through.
 
do the compression test and pull the valve cover off to see how the top of the head looks...good stock internals can hold 8 easy...I used to have a 96 std that would run fine under 10lbs at the track, 5psi daily, put the turbo on at 136000 and ran fine til I got rid of it at 164000
 
On a healthy stock 420a 10psi is the safe maximum I have seen personally. I have seen 12psi but it is pushing the limits.

I agree here, my motor is fully built and i run between 10lbs & 14lbs depending on the situation.

well im hopin i can just boost it and not have to worry about the internals that much

Don't do it, IMO. For example, my motor had approx. 65k when i installed boost. 3 months later i blew my piston rings. I was only running 6lbs of boost. WTF
 
hey man, I have a friend that has a 1g with 200K on the motor and he is running 17lbs on the stock bottom end daily driving!!!. Just make sure you run your tests. Im not sure what he has done to his heads, but I believe they are stock as well.

This answer always fustrates me. I understand the concept, as I have an RS that I'm debating constantly if it will be worth it or not, but I also know it is the spirit of tuning to take something for cheep and invest in its future.

If I could afford a GSX which wasn't in trash condition (or everyone for that matter) I don't think anyone would be driving a RS, GS, or GS-T.

so go to a 1G. they arent pricey if you look around and for the price you bought your car for you could have a nice lil street machine :D
 
well now im haveing problems wit the tranny i had thought the slave had went out but i changed it and it still is not getting presure to the peddle so can anyone helping me wit this problem now

Where there's a slave there is a master. Check the whole hydrolic system. . . Please don't fncking type "wit" anymore. H is right in between G and J on the keyboard.
