Alright so i was told i have an old school Frankenstein .50 trim or stage 2 (dont really know the difference.) I was wondering where i can get information on these turbo's? I have been searching the web and they are just too damn old.

I would love to have this frank rebuilt, but the exhaust side is cracked everywhere and i dont know what exhaust housing it uses. If i dont get it rebuilt, what are alternatives that are similar to this turbo i have.

BTW this is my daily driver so i want a nice streetable turbo. Any suggestions?

You're probley better off just getting a new turbo before you rebuild that Frank turbo and get a new hotside.

Most of the Franks and Mutts used a Garret CHRA mounted to a enlarged 7cm Mitsu turbine housing.

I have an old Frank turbine housing, from a project I never completed.
If your interested in it, I can get pics and measurements.

If you want something new, there a loads of bolt-on 50 trims now days, check out FP and PTE.

Thanks for the help but i think im just going to try and sell my frank. I put the t25 back on for now, until i can gather enough duckets to buy a newer turbo.

Now all i need is the specs on my frank so i can accurately list this thing on ebay. If anyone could help me find some specs for a "Frankenstein Stage 2 .50 Trim" Turbo i would greatly appreciate it. Like what turbos is this turbo comparable to?

What other specs do you need? You pretty much have the whole turbo described in that statement.

Pics will tell us if it has the T04B or T04E compressor cover....but so far you know it's a 50-trim DSM bolt-on with a Stage 2 turbine. Precision would call that turbo a SCM5027, although yours was probably built by Extreme Turbo back in the day when nobody built Garrett turbos with DSM bolt-on turbine housings.

if i were you id get something for the street and not a 50 trim, cause with a enw 50 trim you cant just roll up beside someone and go it has to build up alot more, IMO something is mroe fun and of use whne you can playon the street
