I'm looking to make my GVR4 a little faster without breaking the bank. Here's what I have:
Installed:
ETS FMIC/piping
Walbro 255
Fidanza 3.2 clutch
TRE Trans
Suspension mods that aren't really relevant to the car's ability to make or withstand more power.
Uninstalled/on order:
RC 550cc injectors
Stewart Warner boost gauge
TurboXS 0-30 psi boost controller
APEX'i S-AFC NEO
The car still has a 14b and stock exhaust. Here are my questions:
1. Is there anything else I need to buy to bolt this stuff on and start making power without breaking the car? I don't wanna half-ass this.
2. Are there any significant differences between an S-AFC NEO and the same S-AFC that everyone's been using for years? Is it any harder or easier to tune? Is it any less compatible with a DSM/GVR4?
3. I was thinking of just putting an electric cut-out on it with a stock exhaust, so it can still sound pretty civilized if I don't wanna drive like an asshole. Is that a bad idea or likely to cause mechanical failure? Why or why not?
