stiff shift

ok just got the car off the jack stands after a intercooler upgrade and some body work on the front bumper. jump in and the tranny is stupid hard to shift from gear to gear. no grinding just super stiff. i thought about replacing the slave cylinder but before i do any other suggestions.

Is it just hard to get in gears? Or is the shifter itself hard to move all around?

What kind of intercooler did you upgrade to? Did you change any of the piping around? Have you checked to make sure nothing is hindering the shifter cables connecting to the transmission? That would be my first thought.

the whole thing is stiff. going into gear and even when u try to wiggle in back and forth in nuetral. the only gear than dosent really give me a problem is 2nd and even then its still stiffer than normal....

greddy long rought fmic. it follows the stock intercooler route. no interference at all with the shift cables...

The piping isn't rubbing on that stupid weight on the shift linkage on the transmission is it? Mine used to rub on it real bad until I cut i off.

well figured it out. the shift cables are hitting the stupid hose that runs to the bottom of the radiator. thats the only prob with the long route I/C it uses a S pipe insted of a J pipe. well no worrys im going to re route the hose in the morn. thanks for the input.
