alright i searched for a while and could not find the answer to my question.

Will a 90 gst ecu work in a 90 gsx (tsi in my case)???

both with manual trannys.

I'm not very familiar with the 1g, but on the 2g there is a separate TCU for the transmission, and being manual there isn't really anything the ECU would control anyways.

yes, they are interchangable. as long as its 90 to a 90 it would work just fine.

i told you it will work as long as its a 90. The 91-94 are different and the numbers on the ecu dosnt really mean much for compatabilty.

You can use a computer from a turbo 91-94 you just have to swap a couple of pins.

if i remember correctly, i used the ecu from a 95 on my 97, if that helps at all...i had to re ground everything though :-/
