Ever since i went turbo i have always had a loss of power at 4500rpm. The car pulls up to 4500rpm then feels like its n/a. The rpms will climb to redline but when i hit 4500rpm the car stops pulling. I have a 95 eclipse n/t w/turbo. I have an ebay t04e turbo, dsm 450cc injectors, walbro 255, afpr 1:1, megasquirt ms1 v3 only controlling fuel (stock ecu is controlling spark). Boost is currently set at 10psi. Static fp is 43psi. The boost gauge is at 10psi all the way to redline, it never goes down at all. This problem only occurs at WOT. My wideband reads between 11.2:1 and 11.6:1 afr. I have ngk BKR7E plugs in gapped at .28-.29. I replaced the fuel filter and just changed the plug wires and it did not help with my problem. I have read many threads that state the same exact problem that i am having, but they never had a solution. Oh and no the stock ecu is not going bad. Any suggestions???

exactly. this means that the problem must be somewhere in the ignition. Should i try opening my gap to .35 and work my way down to .26 at the lowest and see what happens?

yeah right when i get to around 4500rpm the car stops pulling. Do you think a different plug gap might resolve my problem?

I think you and 95eclipseslow made either a typo or you really gapped the spark plug the .28. It needs to be gapped 0.028. Also be sure the coilpack-to-cylinder is in the correct firing order and what you use to manage your engine? There is really no use of a 255lph pump or an afpr if you're still using stock injectors.

i tried gapping the plugs from .035 to .025 and every different gap did not do anything at all to help the problem.
