Oh no, it's supposed to be that way. That's set up for when you flush your radiator out. No worries, you should be all set. ;)

Edit: I could have sworn there was more in your last post....

Even better is the name of the clear plastic knob on top of that. The "drain ####" on some of my other vehicles has been stuck and I've had to replace it. In any case, you'll play with that when you flush your radiator. I've always drained the radiator into a big bucket, then disconnected the upper and lower coolant hoses and ran a garden hose to the top and let it completely clean out the radiator. I have to say, the DSM radiator is the easiest radiator to remove that I've ever seen in a vehicle.

that's the radiator drain hose...it's there just for an extra air breather so when you twist the little knob next to the hose to release the radiator fluid, fluid will come out of the hose and the twisting knob....there will be an o-ring on the knob that will seal the fluid that will come out of the hose...

You will have at least a nipple coming off your radiator. The plastic tube is cosmetic in that when you drain it or if your drain #### is loose/broken, it won't spray coolant all over the place. The tube is a really cheap plastic piece that you could easily replace if you are concerned.

Yea my hose is long gone off my radiator. Watch out when you drain it, because that s**t will spray everywhere. Just like bane3d said, it can be easily replaced. I got some hose from autozone to replace mine. Hose+hose clamp=dry hands and face.
