Please help!!!!! Just put engine back in!!

I took out my running engine, (out of my 95 gst) replaced the head gasket, oil gasket, and valve cover gasket. i installed a new clutch and new motor mounts. when i go to start the car, i barely turn it over and it sounds like the engine is banging against the firewall. it make a loud knock noise and i'm scared to fully turn it over. has ANYONE ran into this before? or have any suggestions? please!!

Are all you engine mounts hooked up correctly?

yes. because we went over them twice. but i'll check again
