I sold my old talon to a friend before I moved and got my Mazda. Well, I had work done on it a few times and documented all of it well with receipts, etc. He calls me yesterday and says the rear tires are all messed up because the inside tread it bald. It's from the camber being off due to the drop. When I got the car, I had Sears do a camber kit install, new tires in rear (due to same problem of balding), and alignment. That cost me over $1200. I sold the car to him in June, gave him the receipts if anything comes up. So I called Sears today, told them the issue, and they said everything was under warranty.. that was till I said my friend now owns the car. Immediately he said then it's void and there is nothing he can do about it. I don't believe this is very fair. If everything is under warranty and should be correct, why does it matter the current owner? Anyone know what I can do? I might contact the better business bureau but I'm not sure. My friend still owes me money for the car and is upset, so I'm trying to get this fixed for him so he doesn't think I sold him a bum car, which I didn't.
Any help would be appriciated!
