the battery in my car died recently, so i had to jump it a few times until i got a new battery. well, today i got the battery and put it in the car. i get in and put the key in, and all the lights come on like they normally do. i go to actually start the car and it wont crank. doesnt even try. all i hear is a low buzzing coming from the battery area of the engine bay. does anyone know what this is?

The low buzzing could be your fuel pump. I would check to make sure there is a solid connection to the terminals. The large amount of power needed to turn an engine over doesn't compare to the dash lights and a bad connection would cause the starter to cut out. Although there's generally a distinct "clicking".

alright, i figured it out. there was a bad connection in some wiring around the battery. i must have loosened something getting the old battery out. MODs, you can delete this thread now.
