ok a couple things:
1. is there anything that i should look for when building my engine? any tips?
ive rebuilt a couple engines but every engine gots it own little tips and procedures
that relate to that particular engine only
2. how do arp head studs hold up ( standard ) will they hold up to 550 whp and possibly
30-35ish psi???
and cometic head gaskets how do those hold up???
3.are all the aftermarket radiators thicker than the stock one??
just need tips and tricks when building an engine thanks alot! :dsm::dsm::dsm:

Arp head studs will hold up good. If your going to build an engine with that kind of power you will need arp rod bolts and mains.

cosmetic head gaskest will be fine as long as the block and head are machined really fine to use the metal head gaskets.
I believe ra-34 not sure tho
Aftermarket radiators are not all thicker then stock some are just as thick. Just made out of aluminum to disipate heat better.

check out VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions. It will have all the tips and tricks you will need.

ARP's will hold up way past 550 whp. They can take what ever you throw at them.
A cometic head gasket is great, i'm not sure if it will handle 30-35 psi?
If you plan to push ALOT (30-40) of boost, i would recommend checking into getting the head and block oringed, and using a copper head gasket.

When you rebuild, do a BSE kit.
Install all ARP hardware

If you build the motor strong you can use a felpro head gasket which I have yet to see one blow. Evil Eagle ran one and made numerous low 9s and mid 8 second passes and he still had to peel the head gasket off. Just go with a good rod and piston combo. Unless you have the money go with a proven set so you know it will work.

Go to an auto store and buy yourself a repair manual to start if you haven't already! Use Vfaq.com alot! When rebuilt mine, I just used those two plus using the online forums here and I was able to complete it fairly without any issues.

Other things to do is check your water pump to make sure its in good working order. Same with the oil pump, Alternator and starter if possible... Just things I ran into or made sure to replace.

Plus all the timing belt accesories. Pulleys, belt tensioner, and belt of course.

Other things to consider are the balance shaft elimination if its not already done. And 3mm (3G) lifters for more oil flow in the head.

Thats just my .02 cents
