i just wanted to know if any one has seen a "high flow" 3" gm maf. it has the center bar removed, bored out and the hunny comb removed. would this work for our car? has any one used one?

The center section removed? I believe that's either the air sensor itself or the temperature sensor. Without it, I doubt it'll work very well. Also there's no honey comb in a GM MAF. There's a mesh screen and people prefer to remove it due to cases of where it came loose and got sucked into the engine. However, the screen is there to distribute the air evenly through the MAF.

Sounds like hacking the maf that is on our cars but with the GM maf. You will probably just be letting in un-metered air.

no not the center sensor. i am talking about the center aluminum. remoning that and boring it out. leaving only the sensor and a lot more room to move air.

Yes you can do it, not sure how beneficial it is, but it will work on our cars.
