Okay please bare with me on this because I am going to get detailed because I dont believe many dsm'ers are running this setup. I recently got a 6bolt block from SBR because my stock 2g motor crank walked on me. I paired up the 1g block with my 2g head. As far as other mods go I have a Evob16G turbo, greddy hard pipes with a greddy BOV, msd ignition wires, and a custom 2.5 in exhaust with a small leak in it. I am currently running 15 psi and it seems to run nicely. I have heard this is actually a good setup because of the velocity through the 2g head. Anyways I broke in the motor by running no boost for the first 700 or so miles. Then after that I changed the oil and turned up the boost to about 4psi. Not until I hit about 1200 miles did I turn the boost up to 10psi. So as far as my knowledge goes I broke in the motor properly and the way the shop who did the work told me to. So the real issue is I recently drove about 2500 miles because of a move and I noticed my oil fill cap started leaking onto my valve cover. I read other posts about this and I guess its a common dsm problem. But I also read that it could be blow by and that scares me a little. I know I have a small exhaust leak but this shouldnt be affecting anything because its after the first 02sensor. The car will start up just fine but after about 1 minute of idling it will die if I dont give it gas. I dont know if that has something to do with the new CAS put on it because of the frankenstein motor, or if its because the exhaust leak. Either way the motor hasnt idled well unless its reached warm up temp since I got it back from the shop that put the motor together. Either I just need a tune or I have other problems on my hand. Any info would help becuase I havent seen another post like this. Im hoping the gasket on my oil fill cap is just old (it is a 95) and as far as the exhaust leak I know I need to get that fixed.

Wow that's way more information than necessary but nice setup. You simply have an old dried out rubber o-ring on your oil fill cap. Pull it off flip it over and look at it. It's got a large oring that is most likely brittle and and shrunk. Go to your local Mitsu dealer and order a replacement o-ring. The old one will likely crack off in little pieces. Slap a new oring on and you should be good to go. Yes it's that simple and super common.

Note: In the unlikely event you have a bling bling aftermarket cap, change it out for a fresh oem one. Alot of the cheapy aftermarket ones leak from the get go.

Good luck.
