tell me how this could happen

so my alternator belt decided to do something that i have never seen before. it twisted in one spot and is running on the wrong side on only one pulley and i just barely hanging on

this happened to mine also. either one of your pulleys are bad to beat up. or your serp belt tens is loose. try seeing if any of the pulleys are beat up. if not that try to tighten the serp belt.
