So last Feb. or so I ordered 3 Premium pro sport (electric) gauges BRAND NEW from a vendor on here.. I just now got around to installing them. (Been busy etc) They were sitting on my shelf the whole time. They have not been abused. I just wired up the boost gauge and it will read a few marks under 0 when the key is on ACC. :notgood: And if you ever so lightly touch the gauge when the key is on the needle will jump towards 0. I have only tapped the gauge!!

I'm pretty much stating that the gauge will not zero out. Is there any way I can calibrate it or should I try to fight the vendor for a new gauge? :toobad:

The vendor didn't make the gauge. Contact the manufacturer.

Just got off the phone with pro sport. They say its normal for the gauge to read a few bars off from the zero mark due to it being so small. He said if you were to put an autometer boost gauge next to a pro sport gauge, you would see that the "0" mark is much larger on the autometer boost gauge. I suppose that makes sense, but I will drive it around for a little bit and see how it does.

Has anyone else had this experience??

I have experienced this two as well. I also called pro-sport and they told me the same exact thing. I believed that what they told me was true and have been driving with mine in for about 3 months now.

Well thats good to know. They also said I could send it back for a new one.. I'm not sure what to do..

Other than the needle not zeroing out, my gauge has been perfectly fine. If there is anything else wrong with your gauge then send it back and get a new one, but if its just the needle not zeroing, then I would just keep it if I were you.

I have a prosport boost gauge too with the same issue. It also reads more vacuum than my old faze boost gauge did at idle. Under full boost both hit the same mark though. I wouldn't be concerned.

Why would you keep a gauge that isn't accurate in vacuum AND boost?

Some of y'all scare me. ;)

I'm not here to bash or anything but the prosport gauges really aren't very good. The company is good about their warranties and taking care of issues but damn I see failure, after failure, after failure with these things and they aren't very accurate.

I just wired up mine today. I asked Defiant if I could make a tech article on this matter. Hopefully he says yes, and I'll post the link here and other places amongst the forums for everyone that had any questions about the prosport boost gauge.

But so far I love it! (even though as of right now my car's on jackstands) It works just fine for me and much much better then the stock boost gauge. (I just bought my gst so this is my first boost gauge)

I have their mechanical boost gauge. Reads perfect. Maybe the electric one is different. I think that for the price, you can't beat their gauges. They look amazing and I haven't had any issues with them.

are mechanical boost gauges better(accurate) than electric ones?
joegsx, how long was the install process, and difficutly?
