can bad o2 cause rough idle & masive loss of power

out of no were my car is running like crap.. all my main vacume lines are connected. the only thing i havent checked is o2 boost leak test and compreshion test...and when i mean my car is running like crap i mean super crappy no power under load any ideas?

The things I would consider most look at the t belt to see if the timing marks are right. Do a boost leak test as well with soapy water. You should be able to build the boost to 25 and let it leak out very slowly. if you cant build up to 25 they you have a leak or the air pressure needs to turn up on the compressor. A bad o2 will cause power loss but shouldnt be that much.

The O2 sensor has no effect on WOT, however it adversley affect your fuel consumption.

when mine did that black smoke rolling out of the exhaust no power at all ......i thought it was a boost leak ended up being the ecu,replaced it and it ran fine .....no my tcu is bad stuck in 3rd gear

You sure its your TCU? My car is an A/T and was stuck in 2nd gear and would sometimes randomly shift. I just changed the Tranny Fluid and it shifts perfect

When everyone finds the spell check feature on their respective Internet browsers (yes, yours has one) we'll open this one up again.

Until then, boost leak test, change plugs and wires to the proper plug and gap, compression test/leakdown test, and if that fails, take it to a certified auto technician for a free inspection. Many places will do it and give free estimates.
