I have an AVCR so it's a solenoid type boost controller. I was thinking about relocating it to the driver side of the engine bay. Due to the fact that I will be running a Tial off the O2 housing, the current location next to the airbox is not ideal. It'll make the vac line longer than it needs to be and it'll most likely bump into the turbo, manifold, or downpipe, possibly melting it. So my question is, can I tap it off the intake manifold instead of the fitting on the turbo? One reason I want to do this is because you will be getting a true boost pressure reading for the solenoid but I'm not entirely sure if there are any disadvantages to it. I know teeing off the BOV line is bad so I won't do that.
