Kitchener,
My question is...why did you buy a dsm?...cheap power? Looks? turbo? someone else has one? mine personally was the awd for winter and the sweet looking hump in the hood that lead me to the car!! whats your reason?

I liked the dash... It was my second car... I bought my first DSM for $2000. It was a GS hence my username. Didn't even know they made a turbo one or at that an AWD one. To be honest, back then I didn't know anything about DSM's. Oh how things have changed. I'm on my third one now with plenty of knowledge to hold my own. I have also converted a couple Honda boys over and helped/coached/babied them along the way.

Power Bulge FTW!! :rocks:

well to me thats a pretty good reason and to be honest my first one i didnt know that they came turbo either....or leather or sunroof or even a 4 -banger.........

I watched my friend go through 4, so I thought it was about time I got one.

Worked at a Jeep Eagle dealership like 89/90. The 1G's were really ahead of there time back then, use to sit in the car and turn on the parking light's to look at the dash, it was like nothing was that cool, not even K.I.T.T. Ever since then all I wanted was an AWD turbo model. Before that my car was the old 944 use to think those where so hot, ahhh they still are.

i had a 03 evo, loved it but decied to sell it.

figured a DSM would be close.... LOL

but i like it alot

in the fast and the furious tho paul walkers eclipse is a 420a turbos charged tho, so that would make it fwd and non turbo to a turbo , if you watch the part again when they pop the hood u will see!!!

I bought my dsm because i was tired of building high hp fwd's. I figured it was time to build something serious with awd.

I got tired of running 16's at the drag strip. Heh heh. AWD Turbo nuff' said.

Because I could get an AWD / turbo car that was easy to work on, easy to upgrade, and wouldn't break the bank.

:rocks:

A smog legal turbo car that boost 14psi STOCK. Yup! I had a an AWD but it went bust.....so I got a FWD....best DD I ever had. Another 1G AWD will be in the making in the future and that will be my road race car.:talon: Hopefully a Talon.

Honestly, I always loved the first and second gen eclipse. I held them in such high regard that I always figured they were expensive sort of like the Mark IV Supra. Then one day my buddy with a dealer license offered me my GSX for $6500, the rest is history. (little did I know how often they need maintaining Ha ha ha $$$)

Around here theres nothing but camaros mustangs and the usual ford contour and honda civic(well 2 2g's and a 1g, but they all have small stock 1 pipe exhaust so im assuming they're N/A). None of the v8er's are supercharged by my knowledge so being the only car that sounds like an airplane is sweet as well imo.

because i like hurting myself, stress and frustrations, and breaking the bank. plus, i like something to sit on the side of the house to constantly work on with no brighter future.

I did not know WTF a DSM was at the time i use'd to have a 98 eclipse gs but i did not know shit about the 4g63 or what the #### a gst was..LOL
Till my 420 finally gave up and my current gst was the car i found after that.
And i'm still happy till this day.

i loved the look of paul walkers eclipse. ever since then ive been in love with them. im hoping to save some money and buy a 99 GSX and swap in an evo motor, make it go zoom-zoom the DSM way:sneaky:

This might be the best reason I have ever heard..... and I agree totally:thumb:
