What exactly is this supposed to do?
I find it kind of funny that a chip for 8 dollars can increase 20hp.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how this works?
If it is legit, I may buy it.
What is this guys?

Looks like it just fools the ECU into thinking your intake temps are lower than they really are. Colder air is denser air, so the ECU adds a bit more fuel. The cost is a complete rip off. Resistors are a dime a dozen.

Lol. Okay. Makes sense. I knew something looked.....Off... about this.

Yeah all it is is a resistor that bypasses a few readings so your ECU thinks differently. Don't waste your money. I got one before for my grand am back in the ricer days and it sucked. It was nice for WOT but for cruising it sucked horribly.

You should send your ecu to a shrink if its starting to think differently.

I once wondered about the same stuff, but pretty much anything you see on ebay with a picture by it with a big "+50HP" it's BS. My brother was suckered into buying a "performance chip" and one of those "tornado air" things that is supposed to make your air burn more efficiently (which it doesn't) and a blower motor that looks like a hair dryer motor. None of them worked. The only thing that stuff is good for is making money for the sellers.

I must admit however that I think the "fuel line magnet" things are pretty hilarious. "We are lining up the molecules in your gas" oh WOW now they're nice and organized!

I know there are multiple other threads that tell you the dangers of ebay BS but I'd say if you want HP check out the articles on performance upgrades: LINK

Now personally, I think thats a perfect idea...if you get thirsty and can't find a nearby convenience store or a gas station on the highway, just get outta your car and walk up to your hood for a little refreshment!:thumb:

Lol, I thought it was pretty funny too, but you know, theres always haters.
He saw my thread from before about that.. ROFL

Edit: Thanks for the NT upgrade path, sad thing is, all that is already done to my car ahaha.
