Does anybody use an external power steering cooler to replace the oil cooler loop in front of the radiator? Which brand? Where did you buy it? How did you mount it? Mine is leaking like hell and I'm debating getting an external one so I don't run into issues when I install my FMIC.

what i did when i put my front mount on, there was no room for the cooler any more, so i cut it off right at the end so it looks like a u shaped piece of tubing and just stuffed it back in to the lines, they wont come off or anything its not a high pressure line right there.

We installed this on my brothers 95 GST when he got a fmic. It's a pretty nice kit and cheap too. No hard data to back it up but we haven't had any issues with it. It was mounted on the drivers side of the bumper in the opening using 2 strips of aluminum (I think they came with the kit).

^^Yep, same here. -I didn't like the idea of just bypassing the OEM cooling 'loop' altogether. I found some OEM power steering cooler off of a 90's Chrysler minivan on ebay for $12 bux. -It's made by Long and has the same sized line fittings. I made a home for it in the driver's side air dam. It has worked for years now, without any issues. -It looks very similar to your Perma-Cool unit, Sax... It's OEM-style mounting bracket (with a little coercion :D) worked out great for my 1G mounting solution.

Wow thats great, thank you guys for the pictures too, they were a big help. I like the Perma kit and I think that's what I'm going to go with.

Did you guys have to remove your bumpers to mount it? Was the hose it came with enough to route?
