I'm currently running a GT evo3 16g and was wondering if it's abnormal to hit full spool at different times depending on which gear I'm in. I hit full spool, 20psi in 2nd at about 3800 rpm but in 4th or 5th, I'll hit full spool at about 3100 rpms. I have no boost leaks and compression is good.
Do turbos normally spool at the same time in each gear?

Yep...different load time on each gear. It's like trying to build boost while in neutral(without 2 step or anything fancy :p).

Cool, so when people say they 'hit full spool' at about 3200 rpms in their 16gs, it's probably 3rd gear or higher right?

ebay 16gs some of them tend to hit boost alot later on depending on the type. Mitsu big 16gs hit full boost at 3000 rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear. i've seen mine hit full boost by 2800 in 4th
