power door lock assembly

1995 talon AWD
My power lock motor is shorting out. i took the whole
assembly apart and can see the motor is dead. i cleaned
all the contacts and electrical greased them good. put it
back together and same results. i could see a flame inside
the motor when i hit the unlock button. electronic burn smell.

can you buy a new motor or do you have to get a whole new
assembly. if so where?

Honestly, I would call auto parts stores first, if they can't get it, call the dealer for a laugh, and then look on ebay. If ebay fails try junk yards, if local junkyards fail go to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
