So I decided to install my rear motor mount after like almost a year of owning them. I managed to get the mount out and lo and behold the Prothane inserts will not fit. WTF

Checked the packaging again and it said RR Eclipse motor mount 95-99. So now I'm just utterly confused as to why it won't fit. It has the right idea from what I can see but the mount is just too small. It won't fit over the rest of the motor mount.

So I decided to rip the middle of the mount out. Set the b**** on fire and let it burn. Meanwhile I fitted the inserts in, filled the inside cavity with industrial grade polyurethane. I used this same stuff for the front and I can say it's been holding up solidly. The only problem with this idea is the middle part for the bolt is too small. What I figured I'll do is fill the middle up with the stuff and just insert the metal sleeve. What do you guys think? I already have it in the garage curing. Good idea? Or should I just order the newer mounts?

i would check the part number you have with prothanes website and make sure you got the right one, you did grind the metal sleeves out of the mount right? after you burned the rubber out?

i just did a set on a friends 2g and they were the same as my 1g. had to burn the rubber out and then grind a groove across the inside of a sleeve to get it out, then once its out the inserts slide in the mounts with a lil effort,

I have the ones in the background. Like I said, no cutting of the sleeve required. They are suppose to slip between the spaces of the mount.

The new one are the inserts like the one in the background.
