boost leak

ok i bought a boost gauge and stalled it and well... full boost @ 3500-11psi then around 5500 it starts to drop. 7000 i have as low as 8...what do you guys think?

i thought about putting my boost gauge on the j pipe i have a little nipple and it fits like a glove any exceptions????

The pipe that attaches to the turbo has a nipple on it.

Keep it at the manifold. It's a more accurate representation of what is going into your motor.

Do a BLT.

Your BOV may be going bad on you or it might be loose. I dont think it would be going bad on ya though because 1G BOVs are really good, so check and see if you BOV is loose or if there's a line loose.

the bov sounds ok...I have to really go over the car and check everything I just adjusted my clutch pedal, and shifter linkage. Now I am gonna change the tranny fluid along with the oil. So when all this goin on I'll have to do BLT....ummm anyone have a parts list on what I need to make a tester?

IC Pipe Tester

I like using the quick disconnect right on the leak tester as well as a small pressure gauge so you don't have to run into the car to look at your boost gauge. Just a little different but it makes life so much easier. The reason I prefer to use the quick disconnect is if you happen to have a large leak the schrader valve just doesn't flow enough air.
