My car wont boost it just boogs while spooling and it stops boosting. I have the stock t-25 with a very rusty wastegate. Ive heard things from my wategate and boost leaks. I have no boost leaks. This kind of started when i installed my MBC. So i disconnected it and put back the stock setup and it still does the same.

I'll bet you haven't changed your spark plug for the last three months. I had the same problem couple of months ago, it solved all the problems by just changing the spark plug.
As far as the boost control solenoid goes, just plug up the lower connector after you installed the MBC.
How To Tech Tip

ok i tried to set my MBC to a low boost setting and a high setting but the car isnt boosting at all. Any ideas is i need a new turbo or wastegate?

Pull the vacuum hose off of your compressor housing and directly pressurize the wastegate. See when it opens up. Take off the intake pipe and check for shaft play. What pressure and how long does your BLT hold?

Just advice here.

allways pay extremely close attention to detail when working under the hood.

1. was this problem present before you installed the MBC?
A: yes
B: no

if you answered no, this problem is your fault (this is how i talk to myself when i work on my car, so i feel like a self appointed hero when i figure it out). get down on the ground, look at stuff from a differant angle. 0 boost = big friggin leak, my car still showed 4lbs and i had a 1/4 inch hole in my intercooler from a piece of rebar sticking out of the parking block at safeway (yes they baught me a new FMIC). so my brotha look hard and slow for it.

if you answered yes, loosen your downpipe from the undercarriage, drop the o2 housing, look at the exhaust side of the turbo and make sure your flapper can open/close freely, also do what the gentlemen above me said to do, pressurize your wg and make sure it is in PROPER opperation, not if it operates at all, but PROPER operation :thumb: you should find your problem in that spot. if not get a broomstick, cover it with foam, then beat the top of your car on and around the hood area. wont fix anything, but i promise you'll feel better :tease:
:dsm:

my answer to that question is NO. SO a small whole on the intercooler can cause this or does it have to be an huge hole? I remember there where some whole on top of the intercooler i guess it was made by the last owner who probably tried mounting it wrong.

Wait a minute... you have a hole on the top of the intercooler that's big enough to be noticeable (which makes it enormous) and you thought it wouldn't be an issue to use it? :toobad: And then you say you have "no boost leaks"? How are we supposed to help you with wrong information?

Go do a BLT.

oh so maybe i didnt remember about that but even those two holes can cause that bad of bogging? And can i just cover the holes up?

This is probably the first time I've gotten annoyed at someone I'm trying to help.

Go do a BLT. Or if you're just too plain lazy to do one, then I'm too plain lazy to help more.

Yea dude im sorry but im doing a boost leak test later on today. Im also covering the holes up today and yea i got batteries today for my logger guess what it threw out wastegate actuator malfunction can this be the cause?

Ok i have corrected the boost leak coming from the intercooler. I now have it narrowed down its my wastegate actuator, I need to replace it because it stays open all the time. I have a 16g can i just take the actuator of the 16g and put it on the t-25?

Im having major problems now. I fixed my boost leaks coming from the intercooler so i decided to spray some wd-40 on the wastegate actuator and arm to see if it loosens up. The car still boogs and even worse it turned off in middle of the road. I let the car sit for a while and i turned it on but this time it was running really bad like it wanted to stall out HELP please.
