hey all,

I got my car up in the air and I dont know if I can get my oil pan off...

Part of the transaxle is in the way of like 2-3 last bolts. and theres like a paperthin clearing from that chunk of the transaxle to the oil pan. im going to remove my exhaust real fast, but im wondering if I can even get to the last bolts with that thing in the way :rocks:

can anyone help me on removing it from under the car?? please :talon:

alrighty, i just removed the downpipe and imma remove the transfer case. im gonna remove the exhaust just to get it out of the way :rocks:

when i removed my oilpan, i didnt have to remove the driver side axle, or the flywheel dust shield to get in there. I just wedged a socket and began loosening. After a good hour ( hahaha i know) it will come out.

sounds like a lot of work WTFLOL

Unbolt the carrier for the driver's side axle (2 14mm bolts), dust shield, xcase, dp. When you unbolt all of the 10mm bolts, be sure to go at the oil pan from more than one side so you can pop it off without distorting the pan lip.

dont remove the axle, just unbolt the carrier so you can move the axle enough to get at the bolts. when i did my oil pan gasket it wouldnt come off for shit, i was beating it with a rubber mallet and then with a dead blow from multiple spots and it wouldnt budge, so i had to get out my propane torch and heat up the pan (all around the bolt holes) and it came right off. just make sure your careful when you get close to the bottom of the timing cover.

+2 on the carrier arm. I f-ed with it for 2 hours before I figured that little trick out. :coy:
