ok heres what i have done to the car.
Big T28 Turbo.
Larger side intercooler
Upgraded intercooler pipes
First generation DSM blow off valve
Ported exhaust manifold & O2 housing
Full 3" stainless steel exhaust system
255 gph fuel pump
550cc fuel injectors
DSM link - ECU
Underdrive crank pulley

the car used to run at like 22psi but when i would gun it in third i would get this like cut or stutter when the rpms went up. i lowered it to 17psi now and still get the same thing in basically every gear. When i floor it, it happens, when i ease into it it sometimes happens.

Ive read some other posts and saw people saying "hit a brick wall" and i dont think its like that. so fuel cut may not be the problem. I can only say its like a stutter. Goes up the rpms smoothly then stutters then continues smoothly.

Please guide me!

I agree with Canadiantsi, new properly gaped plugs and maybe wires, I have a similar set up and mine would "stutter" or "hesitate" from ~4.7k on up. Changed plugs and wires and it was like night and day.

well im going to go with NGK's 2 step colder plugs. Buying those today. But for wires what are some recommendations? Also NGK's? MSD's? ACCEL? im not really sure whats good for the car as far as 8mm or 10.4mm or in between?

You won't need 2 step colder on a t28 unless you're running over 28psi. Go with BPR7ES. They may be a little tricky to find, just make sure a store doesn't stick you with BP7ES because they don't stock the ones you need (ask me how I would know this). I personally use MSD 8.5mm wires, but I'm sure any decent set will do fine.

I am having this exact same problem. I just replaced spark plugs and wires and it is still doing it. Any other ideas as to what it could be? I dont think its fuel cut either because like Torched said it is more of a stutter than just "a brick wall".

My mods list in my profile is current also.

there is one under the dash. near the ecu. and there is another part that is on the intake mani. i oun a 1-g so it might be in a diff spot.

woops.:coy: sorry was thinking of the 240. its not under the dash on a dsm . look on your wire harnes that your injectors are on. its the conector that is about 1/4 inch wide and about 2 inch long. i think its realy called a transiter pack. slowboy sells them under (oem electical.)

nah. there are 2 down there. your spark plugs don't connect to it. it it might be a two part system though.

i had this problem just today and turns out it was the timing that was causing this i set the timing with the cam angle sensor and it was like night and day:)
