I just picked up link and a 2g mas for my 92 automatic tsi. I also bought a 4" fp intake not thinking at all about clearance. I had issues with the upper radiator hose, j-pipe, wastegate nipple and the whole setup with mas being too long to fit. This car is a dd and won't see much more then a short route ic setup. I don't want to keep guessing on which of the hundreds of intake pipes will fit so does anybody have a suggestion? Dejon, Extremepsi or a custom fabricator?

I've got a dejon 3" 2g mas pipe on my 92 with a 16g and it fits great. The 3" to 2.5" coupler spaces the intake pipe away from the wastegate actuator nicely. If you have a FMIC, it could interfere with those pipes depending on whether they're short routed through the front of the car. You can check out pics of my setup in the gallery if it helps.

I have a 4" fp and a 2nd gen MAS on my 91 Auto. I have no room for a filter but eveything else fits fine.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll send this fp back since I'm gonna be sticking to a 16g.
