So it's been about 2 weeks since my AFPR install and a week with my Walbro 255 installed. I have some questions after driving with them both.

My AFPR is a Fuelab with SS return lines. Supposedly it's normal for a AFPR to keep pressure after the engine is shut off. I noticed it immediately starts to drop off and will be depressurized within 30 seconds. However, I have no trouble starting it. It takes me 3 cranks to get it running even after a week of sitting and no driving. I have installed my Walbro the correct way with the O-ring so no leaks there. Also it was losing pressure even before the Walbro install. Could my injectors be leaky or could it be the AFPR?

There is also the scent of gas present near the AFPR. I have checked all lines and AN fittings and no leaks from what I can see but then again gas evaporates quickly. A member on here told me it's usually the NPR gauge fitting. Apparently gas eats at the Teflon. I have noticed the white Teflon is a bit dirty as well. Is there any way to completely seal this part other than JB Welding it?

I have rewired my fuel pump but even as I close my windows, I can hear the fuel pump whine change in sound. It also does it with headlights, blinkers, and other things that draws electric current. I thought rewiring will help eliminate that and keep a steady supply of 14v since it's connected to the battery. Is this normal?

I installed a fuelab kit the other day and I already had a 255 walbro. I also get pressure drop off after I shut the engine off. I thought that was normal. I put teflon tape on both the vaccum fitting and gauge since the instructions said to do so. I don't see any leaks on mine so far. Run the car and try to find out exactly where that fuel smell is coming from. Maybe something isn't tight enough.

I have ran the car before to find it but no luck. It seems strongest right at the AFPR which led me to believe it's the gauge fitting. How far did you screw the gauge in? I only hand tightened it but I might take a wrench and work it in some more to see if that'll help.
