purge control solenoid valve ticks

this thing ticks like a machine gun, the hoses are all good though. is the ticking a common noise? you can hear it 20 feet away with the hood down .

ok i managed to find that this is a common failure noise. i've heard they're cheap but i can't find any to buy. searched for both k5T48094 which i got off the part and i searched for it's name. would autozone carry these?

I have the same ticking noise coming from mine and i think it is the reason my car won't start. Except when i applied vacuum to it with power it checked out as being good. I found a place to buy them for around $55. Courtesy Mitsubishi. Google that and you should find their web page.
