I am going to use the case of the jdm transmission. so far I am going to swap out the center differential with my US to change to the right gear ratio. I am also going to swap out the first gear too. Should I change anything else in the vr4 rs transmission? How good is the 5th gear for gas mileage, is it the same as the US spec?

I ran this setup for a while But mine was the Switchable FWD<AWD trans/t-case

Benefits: Longer 1st and 2nd gear - Topped out at 70 mph instead of 65 helped out just a tad on ET but not really worth it.

Regrets... Weaker all together I broke mine after a while.

After all the researching I did I found the 93-94 Trans' are the most stout of the 1G trannys.
Not to mention 93-94 got double synchro 2nd gears.
