St. Catharines,
Ok ive ran into a issue. I bought a new engine, the bottom end is suppose to be a 7bolt turbo. Now the oil filter housing that came with it has no hook up to be water cooled. I tryed using a diff assembly that was on my old engine but it wont bolt up. I was also going to buy a 1990 tsi housing with external oil cooler but that housing wont bolt up either. What is going on? how do i make this so its either water cooled or air. Of the two housing the one on the left is the one that will bolt up, but cannot be water or air cooled.

no im saying that with the new housing their is no hook up for it to be either air or water cooled. And i cant attach my old 2g housing because it wont bolt up.

Take the nut off your old 2G cooler and pull the cooler off. Then re-install that cooler w/ locking nut on your new housing and see what you get.
