I posted a similar post in drivetrain tech, but I am hoping to solve this asap and I know more people look at the newbie forum. Either way it's a newbie problem.
Just finishing my first tranny rebuild. all went well but now I am trying to put my viscous coupler in and I can't get it to seat low enough to get a clip on the end. At first the shaft wouldn't even go past flush with the VC. Now, after some hitting it with a rubber mallet, I've got half of the ring grove exposed, but still no luck getting the last .020 or so...
Has anyone experience this before? Any tips?
