Difference's between gvr4's & other dsm's?

Ok so i have seen a vr4 up on craigslist over here. I was just wondering if there are any differences in the gvr4's apossed to the other dsm's. Any weak points on the gvr4's just want some sort of heads up. How rare and expensive to find body peices if its ever in a wreck. Ill throw this out too, are the drivetrains the same?

AS far as i know, the whole drivtrain in mine is the same as the one in my talon, except small things such as intercooler piping and etc. as far as body parts its going to be extremly hard to find authentic vr-4 body parts, especially front bumpers, but you could get some stuff off the galant gsx and swap it over body wise. Does it run? and i would say the rear struts is a weak point, well for me at least..but yes drivetrains are the same.

I've read the spindles are different, they have 4 wheel steering. That's about all I can think of as far as drivetrain. I'm not a GVR-4 expert though.

They've got aws, so I find it hard to believe that the drive trains are the same. Also being a four door I wouldn't think the wheelbases would be the same. The wheels being four lug is kinda lame, but you can't beat the classic look of a gvr4 with the stock wheels so who cares.
I would say a weak point would be the power steering lines that run to the rear of the car..
Either way, I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up if you can afford it.

Most of the rear suspension is different.

Minor things like intercooler piping , Alternator , front brakes.

But all and all the drive line is the same other than the rear steer.

Well the car does run however doesn't say how many miles, but i am trying to get ahold of him. 15psi88 im glad you brought that up because i was thinking the same thing..but i guess the trunk is just smaller.. and i love the looks of the car's.

Drivetrain is the same...all the way to the back...the 4WS doesn't affect the drivetrain...the difference lies in the rear subframe....for more info on GVR4s go to Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Forum - E39A 4G63.....use the search function...they are GREAT cars and are totally deep in the "sleeper" status...

The galant gs-x is a n/a awd correct? Did they sell many in the US?

gsx's im not sure. Ive seen more galant gsx's then vr4's..so im guessing

As far as I know the GGSX was produced in less numbers than the GVR4.

Front and rear bumpers are hard to come by but windows, trunk, fenders, headlights and hood can be had from any 91-93 galant.

They do have 4lug hubs but you can easily swap a 5lug from a dsm in there. They do have rear steering but if you plan to swap out the rear 3 bolt for a 4 bolt LSD you can easily get rid of the rear steering and lines running to the back.
