The control modulator doent work with the parts we put in.

Hello I am Marshall. I own a 91 plymouth laser RS. Recently we put in a new motor and transmission. And now I am being told The control modulator doent work with the parts we put in. I know I could explain this better. I just wanted to get to the point. Has anyone had any problems like this or can any one help me? It would be very apperciated. thank you for your time.

What motor/tranny was in it before and what did you swap it with?

did you go n/a to T?

well the first stock motor was stock and they just said they had another motor for it so im guessing its stock. same with the tranny. and no there is no T i accidently clicked that one.

They could have gone from 1.8 SOHC to 2.0 DOHC. Or there could be funktefied 1990 stuff on the new engine. We need you to be more specific as to what isn't working and what was done.

It was a 2.0 DOHC and then they put in a different 2.0 DOHC and then we had that one rebuilt. Then our tranny started messing up so we had a different one put in. but it was still messing up and now they say its the TCM. so we brought it to the dealership and they said they couldnt find a TCM because they are hard to find i guess. So now I need to find one that works with my specific model and year
