Ground Pulse Problem

Hi guys I'm considering buying a Talon, but it has a problem. It only runs on two cylinders. The owner says it is a ground pulse problem. He says that the ground pulse is not getting to the ignition coil to spark cylinders 1 and 4. Is this a hard fix? Also it comes with a laser for parts.
And while I'm at it is this a good buy?:
91 talon tsi awd- spark issue, Has:
super 16g turbo
fmic
3" hard ic pipes
after market bov
Cobra MAF
jdm block
91 laser rs turbo fwd- needs exhaust manifold and ic piping
all stock
Parts car
All of this for under 1k, good deal or not

from what i know a few things to check would be the ecu,coil pack,and the power transister.i would buy'em

Thanks guys. I would be paying from 600-800 for them, so I thought it would be a good deal.
Any other suggestions.

If its the ecu it'll cost 200 bucks for a new one. Would the one from the laser work or no because its fwd, and the talon is awd. The power transistor and the coil pack are no big deal.

ecu would work work fwd and awd are the same.

As long as the cars are either both automatics, or both manuals.
