ok guys. I've seen my car without the CEL maybe 30 miles of it's 4 month journey...
Now i've figured that it's about time to get a ODB II code reader so i know why my little yellow friend is traveling with me constantly. After a quick google search i came across this...

Actron OBD II AutoScanner - Model CP9175 at Sears.com

What do you guy think?

(keep in mind i just want to be able to plug it in, get the codes and see what's wrong.)

There's also this one but i'm not sure if the extra money is worth the features..

Actron OBD II AutoScanner Plus - Model CP9180 at Sears.com

haha dsmlink is a little advanced for me at the moment.

but do you guys know of any that you can plug right in and see the codes without having to hook it up to your computer and deal with a bunch of software and stuff for a reasonable price?

that's basically why i was interested in that first one i posted.

thanks guys.

That is the same one I bought about a year ago. I like the extra features that display sensor status, definition of codes, DEQ test and battery memory to retain the information you pulled from your ECU after you disconnect it from your vehicle...and was worth the extra $20 above the lower end models... I think I paid like $79 for it...

For 100 bucks its not too bad. Think thats less what I paid for mine and it is nice seeing the code without having to look it up. Its nice being to read other brands of cars. Think I've already used on 6 other cars and cleared some codes for friends.
