car cuts out at 2500 rpm, took evap off.

I have a 95 gst and I took the evap can out cause it was leeking, and now the car wont run above 2500rpm. When it gets to 2500 rpm, it sounds like it goes into a fuel cut. I took off the top wiring harness, plug wires and all the hoses for the evap. the car is at a shop that builds tuner cars, but they say they dont know what it is. If anyone can help please do, im new to the forum, so hope this is in the right place.

Deffitately check the MAF wires/connections, sounds exactly like what happened to me when i forgot to plug my MAF back in after cleaning it.

thanks guys, it was a green wire that came out of the maf connector. Fixed it and works great.
